US expected to increase imports of Thai tires by 3% in 2025, despite a dip in large-sized tires hit by high AD duties (Current Issue No.3602 Full Ed.)

คะแนนเฉลี่ย
  • US imports of Thai tires are projected to grow by 3 percent YoY in 2025. As evidenced, Thai exports of small-sized tires for passenger cars, pickups, and light trucks to the US rose by 11.8 percent YoY in 7M25. Despite multiple tariffs, the rates are close enough to those of market rivals to allow Thai products to remain competitive.
  • Conversely, the country’s shipments of large-sized tires for buses and heavy trucks to the US fell by 24 percent YoY during the same period. The key factor is the imposition of steep anti-dumping (AD) duties, which have eroded price competitiveness in this segment and have caused Thailand to lose market share to its rivals.
