Thai rice prices are expected to continue declining by 0.9 percent in 1Q26, as supply remains high under persistent La Niña conditions and demand softens, particularly from major importer the Philippines, which has suspended rice imports. For full-year 2026, Thai rice prices are expected to recover slightly by around 0.8 percent, following trends in global rice prices, which may face supply shortages as rice production could be affected by hotter and drier weather conditions in the second half of the year.
