China’s PPI saw a smaller contraction in October 2025, thanks to anti-involution measures; deflation risks remain a drag on the country’s economy (Business Brief No.4214 Full Ed.)

คะแนนเฉลี่ย
  • In October 2025, China’s Producer Price Index (PPI) narrowed its contraction for the fourth consecutive month, to -2.1 percent YoY from -2.3 percent YoY in September. Although the contraction in the PPI eased in several industries, addressing price wars and excess capacity will require clear measures and time.
  • Meanwhile, China’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) returned to positive territory at 0.2 percent YoY in October 2025, up from -0.3 percent YoY in September, supported by the services sector during the long National Day holiday in early October.
  • KResearch views that deflation risks will continue to weigh on China’s economy for the remainder of 2025.
