The SET moved within a narrow range before rising around midweek, boosted by the news reports on progress in US-China trade talks, with an agreement being reached on trade, plus the news that the US has agreed to start official trade talks with Thailand. However, the gains were capped due to investor concerns over Thailand’s economic outlook, with the World Bank recently lowering its GDP forecast for Thailand in 2025 to 1.8%. Later, the SET tumbled after having responded to the said supportive factors. The SET dropped further at the end of the week in line with other bourses following the news that Israel launched air strikes against Iran, triggering broad-based selling across all sectors. However, energy stocks rose in line with the rising global oil prices. • On Friday, June 13, 2025, the SET closed at 1,122.70 points, down 1.21% over-week.
