The Baht rose while the SET tumbled at the end of the week

• The Thai stock market fluctuated before declining towards the end of the week, in line with other regional bourses.
The SET Index moved within a narrow range early in the week before falling below the 1,300-point level by midweek, amid selling pressure from domestic institutional investors and proprietary trading accounts, especially in petrochemical stocks due to concerns over performance results. Additionally, the decline in the Thai stock market was in line with global markets, where investment sentiment was pressured by concerns over the US tech bubble, along with the prolonged US government shutdown, which has become the longest in US history.
However, the SET Index later rebounded beyond the 1,300-point level, led by telecommunications stocks following better-than-expected 3Q-2025 performance results. Towards the end of the week, the SET Index declined again in line with other regional bourses, as concerns over the US tech bubble resurfaced and no new factors emerged to stimulate the market. This led to profit-taking in individual stocks, led by the banking and electronic component manufacturing sectors.

• On Friday, November 7, 2025, the SET closed at 1,302.91 points, down 0.50% over-week. The average daily trading value was THB36,224.60 million, down 13.28% over-week. The mai closed at 225.15 points, down 0.68% over-week.
• November 10-14, 2025, KSecurities expects the SET to have support at 1,285 and 1,260 points, but resistance at 1,320 and 1,330 points, respectively. KResearch advises investors to watch key factors, including Fed officials’ remarks, performance results for 3Q-2025 of Thai listed companies, development in the US government shutdown and foreign capital flows. Other important overseas economic indicators to monitor include Japan’s October PPI, UK and Eurozone’s GDP report for 3Q-2025 and September Industrial Production, plus China’s October economic data such as Retail Sales, Industrial Production and Fixed Asset Investment.
