The Thai stock market continued to rise from the previous week. The SET surged early in the week in line with other stock markets after the Fed raised its policy rate by 0.75% and signaled to slow the pace of interest rate increases ahead. The SET then dropped briefly on the US-China tensions over the Taiwan issue. The Thai bourse resumed its uptrend during the rest of the week as investors were less concerned about tensions between the US-China. It was also boosted by continuing purchases of technology and finance stocks.
