This came as investors partially eased concerns over tensions in the Middle East after reports that the US suspended Project Freedom, a military operation to guide ships through the Strait of Hormuz, in order to assess whether a peace agreement with Iran could be reached. This positive development stimulated buying across all sectors, led by energy and technology sectors.However, the SET Index pared some gains during the remainder of the week, facing pressure from profit-taking in individual stocks, led by banking and technology sectors. In addition, investor concerns over the Middle East situation resurfaced following reports that US and Iran exchanged fire near the Strait of Hormuz. • On Friday, May 8, 2025, the SET closed at 1,500.36 points, up 0.45 percent over-week. The average daily trading value was THB75,309.21 million, up 33.71 percent over-week. The mai closed at 214.08 points, down 0.23 percent over-week.• During May 11-15, 2026, KSecurities expects the SET to have support at 1,470 and 1,435 points, but resistance at 1,525 and 1,555 points, respectively.
