The Baht weakened further while the SET rose over-week

คะแนนเฉลี่ย

The Thai stock market gradually rose from the previous week. The SET rebounded early in the week in line with other stock markets as investors considered that the Fed may hike rates by just 75 basis points at the upcoming meeting in July. Later, the SET dropped briefly on sell-offs of institutional and foreign investors. However, the SET resumed its uptrend during the rest of the week, supported by purchases of stocks in various sectors such as technology, financial and banking (as supported by their latest performance results). Moreover, the trading volume during this week was thin as the market awaited the outcome of the upcoming FOMC meeting.
On Friday, July 22, 2022, the SET closed at 1,552.73 points, up 1.26% over-week. The average daily trading value was THB55,613.34 million, up 0.96% over-week. The mai closed at 576.66 points, up 1.93% over-week.
