•    The Thai stock market moved within a narrow range early in the week before rising from mid-week onwards.
The SET Index moved within a narrow range early in the week, as pressured by continued selling in electronic components stocks from the previous week, and concerns over the situation in the Middle East. Meanwhile, positive support came from Thailand’s 1Q-2026 GDP figures, which exceeded market expectations, leading to buying interest in banking and industrial estate stocks.

However, the SET Index rose from mid-week, led by electronic component manufacturing sector expected to benefit from the AI and data center trend, the energy sector benefiting from rising global oil prices, and the finance sector following a major operator announcing relatively high dividend payouts. The SET Index continued to increase towards the end of the week, in line with other regional bourses, amid expectations regarding peace negotiations between the US and Iran.
•    On Friday, May 22, 2025, the SET closed at 1,538.67 points, up 1.36 percent over-week. The average daily trading value was THB56,293.35 million, down 14.08 percent over-week. The mai closed at 211.93 points, down 0.54 percent over-week.
•    During May 25-29, 2026, KSecurities expects the SET to have support at 1,510 and 1,480 points, but resistance at 1,545 and 1,555 points, respectively. KResearch advises investors to watch key factors, including Thailand’s April Exports, developments in the Middle East, and foreign capital flows.
