27 Apr 2026 Financial Markets The Baht hit a two-week low while the SET continued to drop from the previous week คะแนนเฉลี่ย คะแนนเฉลี่ย 5 stars 4 stars 3 stars 2 stars 1 star • The Thai stock market declined for most of the week amid prolonged conflict in the Middle East. The SET Index moved within a narrow range early to mid-week. Although there was support from finance stocks after a major credit card operator reported better-than-expected performance results for 1Q-2026, along with news of foreign investors investing in a major vehicle title loan company, the SET Index faced pressure from profit-taking in selected large-cap stocks, led by bank stocks that went ex-dividend (XD) and a major retail stock due to company-specific factors. However, the SET Index fell during the remainder of the week due to the ongoing and uncertain situation in the Middle East. Although the US extended the ceasefire with Iran indefinitely, and Israel and Lebanon also extended their ceasefire for another three weeks, there was still no clarity on a new round of US-Iran peace negotiations. In addition, profit-taking in technology stocks also contributed to downward pressure on the SET Index towards the end of the week.• On Friday, April 24, 2025, the SET closed at 1,456.10 points, down 1.78 percent over-week. The average daily trading value was THB57,331.11 million, down 17.32 percent over-week. The mai closed at 215.09 points, down 0.81 percent over-week.• During April 27 – May 1, 2026, KSecurities expects the SET to have support at 1,430 and 1,415 points, but resistance at 1,470 and 1,495 points, respectively.
