The SET index fell sharply, ending at 1,754.17 points, down 0.67% over-week. The average daily trading value was THB61,409.99 million, that being 14.98% higher. The mai closed at 474.78 points, 0.89% lower over-week.
The SET index rose early in the week on institutional investor purchases. It then fell sharply in line with foreign stock markets after US bond yields rose above 3% again. However, the index was helped by energy shares later as global oil prices remained at high levels even though there was selling pressure of foreign investors.
