The Baht weakened while the SET closed below 1,700 points

    The SET dropped below 1,700 points although it recovered somewhat at the end of the week, ending at 1,679.90 points, down 1.94% over-week. The average daily trading value was THB100,003.52 million, up 6.61% over-week. The mai closed at 634.72 points, down 2.41% over-week.
    The SET dropped early in the week amid concerns over the COVID-19 situation at home as the Ministry of Public Health raised its alert level for COVID-19 to level 4. The SET fell sharply later in line with the sell-offs of other risk assets amid the rising tensions between Russia and Ukraine as Russian forces attacked Ukraine. However, the SET recovered somewhat at the end of the week along with other foreign stock markets after having responded to such negative factor.
