The Baht tumbled to a 5-year low while the SET dropped for 3 consecutive weeks

คะแนนเฉลี่ย

The Thai stock dropped below 1,600 points due mainly to sell-offs by foreign and individual investors amid concerns towards the Fed’s tightening monetary policy as U.S. inflation rate came out higher than what expected by the markets. Finance, technology and property stocks dropped the most this week. The SET continued facing pressure at the end of the week before a long holiday due to the lack of new supporting factors, in contrast to other regional stock markets that rebounded somewhat after having fallen sharply earlier.
On Friday, May 13, 2022, the SET closed at 1,584.38 points, down 2.77% over-week. The average daily trading value was THB80,929.08 million, up 11.80% over-week. The mai closed at 601.93 points, down 4.12% over-week.
