The Baht rose while the SET dropped on uncertainty over US-China trade deal.


​      The SET index dropped over-week, ending at 1,602.23 points, down 2.17% over-week. The average daily trading value was THB47,763.36 million, down 19.10% over-week. The mai closed at 319.49 points, down 3.95% over-week.

        ​The SET index dropped almost every day throughout the week on sell-offs of institutional investors amid concerns over uncertainty surrounding the US-China trade deal, as President Donald Trump said he has not agreed to remove tariffs on Chinese goods, while China presses US to remove tariffs to reach phase one trade deal. Meanwhile, the Hong Kong protests were also weighed on investor sentiment. The SET index slid further at the end of the week following sell-offs of some big cap stocks.
