The SET dropped early in the week on sell-offs
of institutional and foreign investors, before rebounding around midweek,
supported by hopes towards US economic stimulus measures, Fed’s signals for
further monetary easing and the progress on COVID-19 vaccine development.
However, the SET dropped again at the end of the week, because investors were
concerned about the COVID-19 situation at home and abroad, plus pressure from
FTSE rebalance (FTSE reduced its weight on Thai stocks).
