The SET rose throughout the week on purchases of
foreign and institutional investors, supported by hopes towards easing
restrictions on economic activity, as COVID-19 cases at home appeared stable.
The SET continued to rise sharply at the end of the week after the CCSA announced
to relax some lockdown measures. Additionally, banking and financial stocks rose
the most this week, due to support from the BOT’s extension of measures to
encourage financial institutions to provide additional assistance to debtors.
