The Baht rose while the SET recovered somewhat on COVID-19 relief packages.


  • The SET recovered somewhat, ending at 1,099.76 points, down 2.44% over-week. The average daily trading value was THB65,311.79 million, down 6.47% over-week. The mai closed at 214.60 points, down 5.20% over-week.
  • ​​The SET fell early in the week amid concerns over the fast-spreading of COVID-19 domestically and globally, causing the Thai government to declare nation-wide state of emergency to combat COVID-19 spread and reduce its impact on the economy. However, the SET rebounded during the rest of the week, supported by Thailand and other countries' COVID-19 relief packages, as well as central banks' liquidity injection, including the Fed's unlimited QE.​
