- Overall, Thai households spend an average of 900 THB (26 USD) per month eating out. The amount, however, varies by region. In the greater Bangkok area, average monthly household expenditures are 2,000 THB (59 USD). Elsewhere in the Central region the average is 1,000 THB (30 USD). In the South the average is 700, and in the North and Northeast, 500 THB. International tourists account for 18 percent of total expenditures, or approximately 86.4 billion THB (2.54 billion USD).
