Business operations are very dependent upon strong marketing to convey brand awareness toward their goods and services to target customers, in order to induce customers to purchase their goods and services, and to build the credibility of producers/merchandisers. This will benefit their business operations via enhanced business transactions, product sales, market expansion, new product launch, and fund mobilization. Advertising and public relations via television media is the most convenient way to convey information to customers. As well domestic television media expenditures have been the greatest compared with other domestic advertising media, particularly in reality shows and other show programs. Such television programs are usually on air after news programs until late at night, which would be comfortable for viewers than other periods. Therefore, many businesses have selected such period to do advertising and public relations via reality shows and other show programs. A recent study found that consumer goods had recorded the highest advertising in terms of brands during that time, and the rest had been commercial banks, life insurance, entertainment, automobiles, household electrical appliances, construction materials & furniture, and telecommunications. In addition, there are other several businesses opening up their products and services by advertising via such show programs. However, product marketing campaigns should be made suitable for the characters of the programs, appropriate airing schedules, marketing seasons, and the popularity of the programs. All of these factors are the key to effectiveness and efficiency in launching television marketing campaigns. Also marketing costs would be taken into account amid the rising popularity of other marketing channels.
