คะแนนเฉลี่ย
The competition among convenience stores in 2007 seems will be tougher than last year and the intensity of competition will increase because convenient store and supermarket entrepreneurs are trying to expand their branches continuously. As for discount stores, these businesses are trying to reduce the size of their buildings in order to prepare for new city planning ordinates. Besides this, they will seek to create business networks to provide comprehensive response consumer demand. Many conventional retail shops have restructured their businesses to prepare for changes in consumer lifestyles and less frequent visits to such outlets. They are turning to buying products from retail shops located near home or their workplace. KResearch expects that there will be not less than THB90 billion circulating in the convenience store business, growing by 10 percent over-year. Nonetheless, this growth is quite different from the overview of retail business in 2007, and it is possible that this growth will reach 10 percent based on an assumption that Thai economic growth in 2007 will be around 3.5-4.5 percent. Among retail shops in Thailand, the number of convenience stores occupies the highest proportion. It is expected that there will be 8,000 branches of major chain convenience stores domestically, growing by 15 percent p.a.
