Thailand’s key economic fruits, 2025: Bumper harvest could trigger a sharp decline in prices and a 4.8% drop in total sales (Current Issue No.3583 Full Ed.)

คะแนนเฉลี่ย
  • In 2025, the production volume of Thailand’s key economic fruits is expected to rise by more than 21.8 percent to 3.66 million tons,1.2 times higher than the historical average. This growth is driven mainly by a 6.1-percent increase in rainfall.
  • Total sales of key economic fruits in 2025 are projected to decline by 4.8 percent, primarily due to falling prices. Exports are expected to dip by 6 percent, while domestic sales are forecast to rise only slightly, by around 0.3 percent.
  • Export sales will likely be a significant drag on overall sales as Thailand heavily relies on the Chinese market. The challenges facing exporters are intense competition from rivals in China and stricter standards on fruit contamination imposed by the country.
