The Thai stock market continued to fluctuate. The SET surged early in the week in line with other stock markets and was supported by foreign investors’ net buying before tumbling later on concerns towards a global recession and Fed’s promise for further rapid rate hikes to curb inflation. However, the SET recovered somewhat at the end of the week on Thailand’s better-than-expected export data, plus repurchase of stocks in various sectors including property, technology and bank (which was supported by the lifting of dividend payout limit)
On Friday, July 1, 2022, the SET closed at 1,572.67 points, up 0.25% over-week. The average daily trading value was THB59,307.70 million, down 4.26% over-week. The mai closed at 597.48 points, down 1.49% over-week.
