  • The Thai stock market fell sharply from the previous week, hitting its lowest level in more than five months towards the end of the week.

The SET Index briefly rose early in the week, supported by continued buying in banking and tourism stocks, before declining for the remainder of the week. The market came under pressure from electronic components and petrochemical stocks after major listed companies in these sectors reported weaker-than-expected 3Q-2026 earnings. Selling pressure on refinery stocks, amid concerns over their earnings outlook following the government's announcement of a new fuel-pricing formula, also weighed on the Thai stock market.

The SET Index extended its decline towards the end of the week, hitting a five-and-a-half-month low of 1,511.58 points. Investors reduced their risk exposure ahead of next week's US midterm election results, while also monitoring developments in the Middle East following the election. Selling was broad-based across several sectors, led by electronic components stocks in line with declines in overseas technology shares after major US technology companies reported weaker-than-expected earnings.
  • On Friday, October 30, 2026, the SET closed at 1,518.59 points, down 2.82 percent over-week. The average daily trading value was THB67,721.70 million, up 4.27 percent over-week. The mai closed at 214.08 points, down 2.56 percent over-week.
  • During November 2-6, 2026, KSecurities expects the SET to have support at 1,515 and 1,500 points, but resistance at 1,530 and 1,550 points, respectively. KResearch advises investors to watch key factors, including US midterm elections (November 3), Thailand's October CPI, 3Q-2026 performance results of Thai listed companies, developments in the Middle East, and foreign capital flows. US economic data that warrants close monitoring includes October Manufacturing/Services PMI/ISM, Non-farm Payrolls and Unemployment Rate, plus weekly jobless claims. Other important overseas economic indicators to monitor include October Manufacturing/Services PMI of Eurozone, UK, China and Japan, plus Eurozone's October CPI (Flash) and September PPI.
