In addition, quarter-end selling pressure for 3Q-2026 from foreign and domestic institutional investors also contributed to the sharp decline in the SET Index.However, after breaking below the 1,600-point level and falling by nearly 50 points, the SET Index managed to recover some of its losses during the remainder of the week. The rebound was supported by purchases in several sectors, led by banking, technology, and energy, which also benefited from rising global oil prices following reports that the US was preparing to deploy additional troops and aircraft carrier to the Middle East. On Friday, October 2, 2026, the SET closed at 1,571.62 points, down 2.24 percent over-week. The average daily trading value was THB79,674.84 million, up 22.26 percent over-week. The mai closed at 221.56 points, down 1.28 percent over-week. During October 5-9, 2026, KSecurities expects the SET to have support at 1,550 and 1,525 points, but resistance at 1,590 and 1,615 points, respectively.
