The Baht traded in a narrow range while the SET rose over-week

คะแนนเฉลี่ย
• The Thai stock market rebounded around midweek amid foreign investors’ purchases.
The SET Index declined at the beginning of the week due to a lack of new market catalysts, coupled with selling pressure from domestic institutional investors. The decline was led by hospital stocks, dragged by concerns over the cancellation of full coverage health insurance of major insurance companies. In addition, profit-taking in individual stocks within retail and electronic components sectors weighed on the SET Index. However, the SET Index gradually recovered around midweek amid foreign investors’ purchases, led by energy stocks benefiting from rising global oil prices due to heightened tensions in Iran, as well as finance and banking stocks ahead of 4Q-2025 performance announcements.
• On Friday, January 16, 2025, the SET closed at 1,275.60 points, up 1.72% over-week. The average daily trading value was THB40,148.11 million, down 1.11% over-week. The mai closed at 212.83 points, down 0.96% over-week.
• January 19-23, 2026, KSecurities expects the SET to have support at 1,260 and 1,250 points, but resistance at 1,285 and 1,300 points, respectively. KResearch advises investors to watch key factors, including 4Q-2025 performance results of Thailand’s listed companies, and foreign capital flows.
