The Thai stock market was volatile before rebounding somewhat at the end of the week. The SET Index surged early in the week because of the government’s measures, aimed at alleviating hardship on low-income earners and boosting tourism, before tumbling later in line with other stock markets amid concerns towards global economic recession. Meanwhile, foreign investors remained in a net-selling position. However, the SET Index recovered somewhat at the end of the week. Construction materials, property and technology stocks helped boost the Thai bourse this week.
On Friday, June 24, 2022, the SET closed at 1,568.76 points, up 0.60% over-week. The average daily trading value was THB61,946.17 million, down 23.45% over-week. The mai closed at 606.52 points, up.0.65% over-week.
