The Baht hit an over 6-year high, before paring gains somewhat, while the SET closed higher later in the week.


        The SET index rebounded by the end of the week, ending at 1,626.00 points, up 1.25% over-week. The average daily trading value was THB46,274.35 million, up 14.31% over-week. The mai closed at 336.53 points, down 0.23% over-week.

         ​​The SET index moved in a tight range early in the week as the market was assessing the  US-China trade talks and BREXIT. However, the SET dropped later amid concerns towards Thailand's economic outlook as the World Bank downgraded Thailand's 2019 and 2020 GDP growth projections, The SET then rebounded at the end of the week, supported by positive news that boosted optimism towards the outcome of the US-China trade talks plus the possibility of a Brexit deal between the UK and EU.
