The Baht strengthened on Thailand’s reopening plan, while the SET dropped before the release of listed companies’ performance results


The SET dropped on the first trading day of the week due to sell-offs of institutional investors before surging later on news that Thailand plans to reopen to foreign visitors from November 1. However, the SET pared gains somewhat at the end of the week, as investors awaited an assessment of the COVID-19 situation at home after the emergence of some clusters of infections, and gradual releases of 3Q21 performance results of listed companies.
