The SET index dropped early in the week on weaker-than-expected Thailand's September exports before rebounding shortly in line with other regional markets amid optimism towards the US-China trade deal. However, the SET dropped again on sell-offs of banking stocks amid concerns over the industry outlook. Moreover, concerns over earnings outlook of other industries as well as Thailand's economic prospects also weighed on the index.
