  • Despite flooding, Thai rice prices dropped by 17% during September–October 2025, resulting in a THB4.381 billion loss in farmers’ income due to 420,000 tons of damaged crops. 
  • Thai rice prices for the remainder of 2025 are expected to fall by 18.9%, reaching THB9,856 per ton, dragged by seasonal factors in Thailand, India, and Vietnam. 
  • Thai rice prices for the entire year 2025 are expected to decrease by 10.9% to THB11,175 per ton, in line with global rice prices, due to excess rice supply exceeding 8.98 million tons, a 5% increase in rice stockpiles and India’s rice exports surging by over 34.2%.
