Thai longan prices fell to their lowest level in 10 years and 11 months, reaching THB 14 per kilogram in July 2025. For the full year 2025, longan prices are projected to decline by 35.8%, averaging THB 18 per kilogram.

คะแนนเฉลี่ย
  • Price‑pressuring factors in 2025 stem from favorable weather conditions, particularly in the northern region — the main production areas (Chiang Mai, Lamphun, Chiang Rai, and Phayao). This has pushed total output up by 19%, or 1.2 times higher than in previous years. In addition, yield per rai has increased by 17.2% as farmers have used more flower‑inducing chemicals and nutrients for longan trees. The increase in production was also driven by attractive longan prices in previous years, with the average standing at THB28.3 per kilogram in 2023–2024.
  • The combined impact of falling longan prices and rising production in 2025 will affect 0.21 million farming households, reducing their income by 23.6% to THB30.343 billion , which is THB3.883 billion below the historical average. This situation will also affect exports, slowing the growth of Thailand's fresh longan export value to 4.7%, compared with 20.5% growth in the previous year, due to downward price pressures.
