Hotel and accommodation revenue expected to contract by 4.5% YoY in 2025 (Current Issue No.3598)

Thailand’s hotel sector is facing multiple headwinds. KResearch projects that revenue generated by hotels and accommodations will shrink by 4.5 percent YoY in 2025, due to a decline in room sales amid falling tourist numbers, lower average room rates, and reduced revenue from organizing meetings and seminars.
KResearch estimates that the occupancy rate nationwide will stand at around 69.83 percent in 2025, down 2.3 percent from 2024. Meanwhile, the average daily rate is expected to decrease by 4 percent from 2024, as operators continue to employ pricing strategies to stimulate the market. This will affect overall revenue, particularly from foreign tourist arrivals.
