  • The housing market has faced a prolonged downturn, and high uncertainty may remain for 2026 due to several negative factors, including limited purchasing power, economic instability, and risks stemming from the conflict involving the US, Israel, and Iran. 
  • KResearch expects the housing market in 2026 to continue contracting, with nationwide home ownership transfers projected to drop by 5.1 percent YoY to approximately 300,000 units, the lowest level in several years, reflecting fragile trading activity. However, second-hand home ownership transfers are expected to see a smaller contraction compared to those of new homes, declining by 4.7 percent, but pushing the market share of second-hand home ownership transfers up to 64.6 percent.
