Thailand’s inflation for September 2025 remained negative at (-)0.72%; full-year inflation forecast is lowered to (-)0.1% (Business Brief No.4198 Full Ed.)

คะแนนเฉลี่ย
  • Thailand’s headline inflation in September 2025 remained negative for the sixth consecutive month at (-)0.72 percent YoY, primarily pressured by supply-side factors from both energy and agricultural product prices.
  • KResearch has lowered its inflation forecast for 2025 to (-)0.1 percent from 0.1 percent, as inflation during the first nine months was at (-)0.01 percent YoY. Meanwhile, in 4Q25, inflation is expected to remain slightly negative, compared to the previous projection of positive 0.2-percent growth. This revision is due to the anticipated declines in energy and agricultural prices compared to the previous year, coupled with weakening consumer purchasing power.
  • The risk of deflation is increasing. Although core inflation in September 2025 remained positive at 0.65 percent YoY, it declined from the previous month, partly due to imports of cheap goods from China.
