The SET index dropped even though it rebounded somewhat at the end of the week, ending at 1,765.93 points, down 0.78% over-week. The average daily trading value was THB53,407.10 million, that being 2.35% lower. The mai closed at 479.03 points, 1.93% lower over-week.
The SET index faced some pressure early in the week from energy and petrochemical share sell-offs amid concern over US-Iran political situations, continuing to the midweek. There was also profit-taking on communication shares later. However, the SET rebounded somewhat at the end of the week due to foreign and institutional investors' stock speculation.
