The installation of solar panels is eligible for a tax deduction of up to 200,000 baht.

คะแนนเฉลี่ย

On 24 June 2025, the Cabinet approved a tax deduction measure (for 2025–2027) of up to 200,000 baht for the installation of residential solar rooftops with a generation capacity not exceeding 10 kilowatts.
Investing in a solar rooftop system can reduce electricity bills by around 50% (1,500–6,000 baht) and lower income tax by 2,500–96,000 baht. The payback period is approximately 2–6 years, depending on the system size, installation cost, and the taxpayer’s income bracket.
The tax deduction benefit for solar rooftop installation is suitable for: 1) households that mainly use electricity during the daytime; 2) individuals with a monthly income above 25,000 baht; and; 3) households with monthly electricity bills between 2,000–12,000 baht, because they can fully utilize the tax deduction and achieve effective electricity cost savings.
