Sustainable finance is expected to continue growing in 2024, driven by proliferating global standards (Current Issue No.3456)

• In 2023, despite a slight slowdown in the issuance of sustainable finance products (debt instruments and loans) due to rising interest rates and global economic uncertainty, the value of sustainable finance products worldwide reached USD 1.33 trillion. In particular, the most popular products are Green Bonds and Green Loans (57 percent).
• For Thailand, the landscape of sustainable finance is different. The most popular product is Sustainability Bonds (59 percent), with a total value of USD 4.1 billion. In 2024, Sustainability Bonds and Sustainability-Linked Loans are expected to play a crucial role. The value of fundraising in sustainable finance products is forecast to be higher compared to 2023.
