Thai exports in 2026 expected to contract by 1.2%, but electronics shipments signal a potential rebound (Business Brief No.4236 Full Ed.)

คะแนนเฉลี่ย
  • Thailand’s exports expanded by 16.8 percent YoY in December 2025, driven by a sharp rise in electronics and gold shipments. As a result, total Thai export value for full-year 2025 reached a record high of USD 339,635 million, with growth of 12.9 percent.
  •  For 2026, KResearch maintains its forecast for overall Thai exports at (-)1.2 percent, but sees a greater chance of a return to growth, supported by sustained expansion in electronics shipments in line with demand from the AI and data center sectors.
  • Meanwhile, Thai exports in product categories subject to reciprocal tariffs and Section 232 have begun to show clearer impacts from US tariff measures. Shipments of products such as refrigerators and processed fruits have declined, while growth in some other items has slowed. Even if tariffs imposed under the IEEPA were to be lifted, any positive impact is expected to be limited.
