Thai exports are expected to grow by 1.6% in 2026, driven by electronics exports (Business Brief No.4245 Full Ed.)

คะแนนเฉลี่ย
  • Thai exports in January 2026 expanded by 24.4 percent YoY. The key drivers for this growth were the accelerated exports of electronics in line with the upward cycle of products related to AI and data centers, and robust growth in gold exports amid uncertainties surrounding global geopolitics and trade policies.
  • For 2026, KResearch has upwardly revised its forecast for Thai exports to 1.6 percent, from the previous projection of a (-)1.2 percent contraction, supported chiefly by a projected growth in electronics exports by more than 10 percent, reversing the earlier forecast of a contraction.
  • Meanwhile, the US Supreme Court’s ruling to overturn import tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) provides only limited support for Thai exports, while increasing global trade policy uncertainty.
