In addition, some investors reduced risk positions by profit-taking sales ahead of the domestic market holidays (July 28-29).The SET Index continued to fall after reopening, dropping below 1,600 points. This mirrored the trend in most other Asian stock markets, after technology stocks faced selling pressure due to concerns about the profitability of AI investments. However, the SET Index recovered part of its losses and moved back above the 1,600-point mark towards the end of the week, tracking gains in international bourses after some major US technology companies reported better-than-expected quarterly earnings.On Friday, July 31, 2026, the SET closed at 1,623.64 points, down 1.26 percent over-week. The average daily trading value was THB96,521.01 million, down 0.28 percent over-week. The mai closed at 227.10 points, down 0.01 percent over-week.During August 3-7, 2026, KSecurities expects the SET to have support at 1,610 and 1,580 points, but resistance at 1,635 and 1,655 points, respectively.
