The SET index rose early before dropping through the end of the week, ending at 1,704.82 points, down 1.00% over-week. The average daily trading value was THB52,113.35 million, that being 5.78% lower. The mai closed at 461.76 points.
The SET index rose early in the week along with other regional stock markets after the latest US-North Korea meeting ending without any concern. It was also supported by energy and banking share profit-taking. However, the index then dropped continuously through the end of the week among concerns on signs of faster Fed rate hikes, while foreign investors still sold their shares.
