The SET index rose over-week, ending at 1,679.05 points, up 0.71% over-week. The average daily trading value was THB42,883.11 million, being 0.15% lower. The mai closed at 366.04 points, increasing 0.14% over-week.
The SET index moved within a tight range early in the week before surging around midweek, supported by the launch of mid-year economic stimulus package by Thai government, as well as foreign factors, i.e. optimism toward the US-China trade negotiation progress. However, the SET index fell slightly at the end of the week, facing some pressure in energy shares as global oil prices dropped.
