The SET index paired gains after surging early in the week, ending at 1,646.18 points, up 0.46% over-week. The average daily trading value was THB38,438.44 million, that being 10.29% lower. The mai closed at 366.10 points, increasing 0.54% over-week.
The SET index rose early in the week along with foreign stock markets, supported by the strong manufacturing PMI of US and China, continued suspension of China's tariffs on US auto imports and rising global oil prices. However, the SET index fell later amid concerns over domestic issues before rising slightly again at the end of the week in line with other regional stock markets, driven by optimism toward the US-China trade negotiation progress.
