Thai stock market gradually rose around midweek
in line with other regional stock markets on the falling US bond yields and
stimulus measures, plus optimism towards Thailand’s economic recovery after the
first-phase of COVID-19 vaccination program. The SET dropped shortly later on
profit-taking in line with other regional stock markets amid concerns about the
directions of US bond yields. However, the SET managed to rise at the end of
the week against its regional peers, supported by banking and energy shares.
