The Baht weakened, while the SET dropped to close at an 11-month low.


​         The SET index closed at 1,558.99 points (the lowest in 11 months), down 1.99% over-week. The average daily trading value was THB46,251.64 million, down 17.87% over-week. The mai closed at 313.89 points, down 1.56% over-week.

         ​The SET index dropped throughout the week amid concerns towards domestic economic slowdown. In addition, bank shares were under pressure as the BOT plans to issue practice guidelines to ensure that financial institutions charge consumers justified fees. Moreover, tensions between the US and its trading partners, unresolved dispute with China, and worries over the impact of raising the minimum wage also weighed on the SET. However, Foreign investors remained in net selling positions.
