The SET index closed below 1,700 points, ending at 1,689.49 points, down 1.86% over-week. The average daily trading value was THB46,528.40 million, that being 3.18% higher. The mai closed at 435.97 points, decreasing 0.69% over-week.
The SET index fell below 1,700 points early to mid-week along with other foreign stock markets, amid concerns over emerging market assets and currencies as well as trade disputes between US and its major trade partners such as China, Canada. However, foreign investors remained in net positions over-week, while the SET index rose slightly before the release of US employment situation report at the end of the week.
