The SET index closed near last week's level, ending at 1,722.04 points, up 0.13% over-week. The average daily trading value was THB55,311.84 million, that being 22.59% higher. The mai closed at 461.76 points, 0.60% higher over-week.
The SET index rose through midweek on big-cap share purchases, especially banking and energy shares. It was also supported by institutional investor buying amid a positive signal of elections in Thailand. However, the index fell later following other regional stock markets. There were also profit-taking of retail investors together with foreign investors' sell-offs mostly in the week.
