“The Baht weakened, while the SET index fell due to external factors.”


        The SET index dropped over-week, ending at 1,668.52 points, down 0.79% over-week. The average daily trading value was THB42,369.66 million, that being 12.02% lower. The mai closed at 418.86 points, decreasing 1.59% over-week.

          The SET index fluctuated throughout the week. It fell early in the week then rose during the midweek, supported by the US midterm elections results as market expected that Trump would face more constraints.  However, the SET index fell again at the end of the week amid pressure from the rise of US bond yield as Fed signaled a likely rate hike at its December meeting and the decline in global oil prices.
