The conflict between the US-Israel and Iran exposes businesses to the risk of rising costs and raw material shortages.

คะแนนเฉลี่ย
  • The conflict between the US-Israel and Iran, if prolonged, is expected to impact all businesses, putting pressure on costs and causing raw material shortages. This impact will be especially pronounced for businesses heavily reliant on energy, transportation, fertilizers, and plastics, such as the electricity, rubber and plastics, and transportation sectors, where the combined cost share of these four categories exceeds 30%.
  • Rising costs will further pressure business performance, particularly among the more than 2 million SMEs in the impacted industries, representing over 61% of all SMEs, and could put at risk the employment of over 7.1 million workers.
  • SMEs with low gross profit margins, especially those in agriculture, fisheries, wholesale/retail, textiles, and plastics sectors, which average below 20% as compared with the overall SME average of around 28%*, will face even greater difficulties.
