• The government’s measures allowing tax deductions for accommodation and seminar expenses in 55 secondary cities from May 1 to November 30, 2024, are expected to stimulate domestic tourism market.
• However, any such boost may face challenges from the effective period and uncertain weather conditions, system readiness – especially among small-scale operators, and tourist preferences.
• KResearch projects that the number of domestic trips made by Thai tourists during 2024 will reach 193.5 million, an increase of 4.4 percent YoY, which will generate tourism receipts of THB 870 billion, growing by 7.8 percent YoY.
